DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES |
1. EYE EXAM |
In eye exams conducted by our specialized doctors, we make assessments targeting a specific disease or disorder which causes a certain complaint. |
2. EYE CHECK-UP |
Within the scope of check-up, we perform detailed screening and administer tests for eye health. |
- VISION ASSESSMENT
- GLASS TESTING
- MEASUREMENT OF INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE
- MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION
- TEAR TESTS
- TEAR DUCT TESTING
- EXAMINATION OF EYE MOVEMENTS
- ASSESSMENT OF RETINA AND OPTICAL NERVE
- CORNEAL CURVATURE EXAMINATION AND CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHY
- CORNEAL THICKNESS CHECK (PACHIMETRY)
- MEASUREMENT OF OCULAR STRUCTURES
- COLOUR VISION ASSESSMENT
- COMPREHENSIVE CHECK-UP

3. OPHTHALMIC ULTRASONOGRAPHY |
Ophthalmic ultrasonography is the procedure for assessment of eye ball and the surrounding tissues. Our center uses two types of ultrasounds: |
- Type A ultrasonography (biometry): For measurement of ophthalmic dimensions and identifying the power of the artificial lens to be implanted in the eye.
- Type B ultrasonography: For assessment of pathological conditions such as tumors, loose objects, decollement, etc.
|
4. PACHIMETRY |
Pachimetry is the procedure of measuring the thickness of cornea in front of the eye. Corneal thickness measurement is performed for such patients of us that want to get rid of their glasses with laser therapy, or for diagnostic purposes. |
5. CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHY |
Corneal topography is a procedure for mapping of interior-exterior surface of cornea. We perform corneal topography on the patients who want to use contact lenses or who seek a laser eye surgery.
Our center renders the respective service with its state-of-art Pentacam and Keratron corneal topography systems. |
6. EMR - ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS
|
We benefit from imaging systems in order to make our patients feel confident and to share visual information with other doctors. We offer both patient's family and other doctors the facility of watching an exam by means of the closed circuit camera systems installed in our clinic. Furthermore, we keep patient archives with shooting and photographing of certain cases.
|
7. FUNDUS FLUORESCEIN ANGIOGRAPHY (FFA)
|
With Fundus Fluorescein Angiography system, we can display patient images on computer monitor without need for printing. Thanks to FFA, we get instant images, have easy archiving processes, and we are able to study and examine the images.
|
8. DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF DRY EYE
|
In our center, we detect dry eyes through a simple eye exam or tear testing (Schirmer tear test). We follow various methods for treatment of dry eye syndrome:
|
- Tear replacement
- Bandage contact lens
- Tear preservation
|
|
Biometry is a procedure for measuring ophthalmic distances by use of ultrasound waves. Our clinic carries out these measurements for identifying the power of intraocular lenses to be implanted in the eye in cataract surgery. We also use biometry in progressive myopia cases in order to detect whether the progress is due to anterior-posterior distance or to the changes in lens.
|
10. TREATMENT OF LAZY EYE
|
Amblyopia is the condition where one eye has good vision while the other has impaired vision. For treating amblyopia, we apply methods to strengthen the vision of the impaired eye, and a specially equipped CAM therapy.
